Saint Clare (Santa Clara): Catholic Saint, Vodou Lwa Klemezin Klemay

On August 11th, we celebrate the feast day of Santa Clara, a Catholic saint who is venerated in Santeria, Espiritismo, Hoodoo, Rootwork and many faiths/practices for her incredible ability to bring clarity to any situation. In some houses and temples of vodou, St. Clare is served as Metrès Klemezin Klemay.

When praying to her, simply light a white candle and place it next to a cold glass of water and ask for clarity. Once you have the wisdom you seek, be sure to give thanks. Light another white candle, place another cold glass of water, and offer Santa Clara something white as a sign of appreciation. Hint: she loves white flowers!
