Cop Shop or Jail Dirt carries the symbolism of law enforcement, confinement, restriction, authority, judgment, and consequences. Traditionally used in more specialized spiritual work, it may be incorporated into workings involving court cases, legal matters, binding or restricting another’s actions, protection from law enforcement, or situations involving arrest and incarceration.

Because the same Materia can be worked toward very different ends, Cop Shop Dirt may be used defensively to avoid legal trouble or seek favorable outcomes, or more aggressively in workings intended to bring restriction, accountability, or legal consequences upon another. Its use should be guided by the practitioner’s tradition, intention, and spiritual counsel.
