Marinette Bwa collares elekes
Marinette is a loa of power and violence in Haitian Vodou. She is believed to be the mambo who sacrificed the black pig at the culmination of the start of the first Haitian Revolution, invoking Ezili Dantor and Ogun. While she is feared and tends to ride those she possesses violently, she can also be seen as one who frees her people from bondage.
Marinette is represented by a screech owl and is the patron of werewolves. Her Catholic counterpart is the Anima Sola (Forsaken Soul) who can either free one from bondage or drag you back.
Marinette is not cruel, nor is she a demon, but can become violent in possession - she is certainly not a spirit for beginners. Many say that Marinette should never be enshrined or invoked inside of buildings, as she literally burns with rage and has a tendency to burn down buildings while within them, whether intentionally or not.
Marinette hates abuse of power and liberates devotees from bullies and oppression.
