Our Lady of Guadalupe. Patron Saint of the Americas and Queen of Mexico, the Dec 12th celebration commemorates the appearance of Mary to the Mexican peasant Juan Diego in 1531.

In Santeria, Our Lady of Guadalupe is synchronized with Oshun Ololodi. Ololodi is a path of Oshun that tells the stories of a woman on the battlefield who is never defeated and a mother who doesn’t rest until her children are happy.

Oshun Ololodi represents the life of a dedicated wife who fights to keep her family together, and exalts women who do not give up and believe that fear is the worst excuse for not not continuing to fight to actualize their dreams - Ololodi embodies the indestructible woman.
